Apparently! So Jeff Dowhen is visiting Mike Hinkens in Nicaragua, and he somehow ran across this school notebook and noticed an InterBMX.com shirt (a large BMX community website I started in 2006) on this BMXer actually PRINTED on the cover… He takes a photo & tags me on Facebook, now I’m looking at this thinking WTF, and I suddenly realize the rider is MY ROOMMATE AJ Haines!! The photo was taken from our 3rd Lair BMX shows at the MN State Fair in 2008. How it ended up commercially printed on notebooks in Nicaragua I have no ideaaaa. An international lawsuit sounds interesting.. Time for some contingency money, and if it weren’t Nicaragua we may have a chance of walking away with more than fifty cents lol

Once again, blown away in a third world country. Evan & I visited CR last year and decided to go back. This year my brother Matt happened to be studying down there for 4 months. We rented an SUV, started in a small surf town on the southern Pacific coast, and each day worked our way up north to different surf towns along the coast. INCREDIBLE. Very cheap. Very unsafe. lol we had a few sketchy situations throughout our time down there. In the photo above, we were really pissing off the howler monkeys in the trees above us, they we’re fricken screamin at us lol

Close friend from Eden Prairie High School and Professional Tennis player Nich Edlefsen (Santa Barbara, U of M Graduate) packed up from MN & moved into the very exclusive Silicon Valley, CA area near Apple, Google, etc. I joined the trip hours before & helped drive 24h straight to Salt Lake City, stayed (gambled) in Reno, drove thru the incredible Lake Tahoe area, right into beautiful Northern California. Also stopped in Sacramento to visit Kyle Pucek from Tangent BMX.

Caleb & I drove to Cali. Yes the yellow H2 with “Big Blu” the monster shrink wrapped boat and the Range Rover pulling the Harley in the yellow trailer.

Caleb & Nicky drove together, so I took my girl (wish she we’re my girl) Lily, TEACUP YORKIE.

Why? We moved a client’s family into Orange County California on the very exclusive Capistrano Beach.

My high school prom date Zlata (who randomly had college classes (during high school) with my BMX friend Evan at the UofM (who now happens to be my roommate) really random) spent 6 weeks in Central America with her friend, and invited Evan and I to visit them in Costa Rica for a week. Evan and I flew down (and no we didn’t miss our international layover flight in Houston because Evan had to drop anchor;) and stayed in Tamarindo, CR.

Homes & businesses w/ no doors, Tin Roofs, Dogs w/ Rabies Chickens & Pigs running in the road, Mamones, Iguanas, 12′ Waves, Surfing, Sloths, Black Sand Beaches, Crabs, Zip Lining through Rain Forests, Banana Trees, Daily Rain, CRC’s, Volcanoes, Monkeys, Crocadiles, Skatepark!, Costa Rica Clubs, Imperial Beer, Trying to Communicate, Unemployment Rates, Costa Ricans trying to sell you something every fricken second, Sketchy People, ALTO Signs, Do not park overnight in the street cause locals will smash your windows lol we can’t even believe this place.
